SPIRITUAL ECOLOGY RETREATS ON THE ISLAND OF MØN SEP 30 - OCT 2 2022

Strandgården is (literally) a stone’s throw away from the ocean, on the southern shores of Møn. The idyllic house with thatched roof forms a lovely frame for this retreat.

This retreat addresses both body, mind, and soul through morning kundalini yoga and meditations, reflections, conversations, writing, periods of silence, and whilst walking in the beautiful landscape and foraging wild herbs.

In these unruly and deeply disturbing times, we more than ever need to stand strong in our bodies, learn to cultivate inner peace, and allow for joy to grow and spread to balance ourselves and the rest of the world. The natural world is the best teacher and comforter. Birgitte is the human teacher on this retreat.

ON TIME, GROUNDING AND PEACE

I have had a spiritual practice for nine years, and I am a teacher for a group that meets once a month. I have more than 20 years of experience with working with art, and many of those as a leader. Today, I work within the realm of Spiritual Ecology. You can read more about this and me on this webpage.

The retreat takes place on the dream island, Møn, whose strikingly beautiful landscape at daytime and immersive darkness at night deeply affects body, mind, and soul. The dramatic Møns Klint is 70 million years old and formed by the ice age. During this retreat, the landscape will be an active companion, full of life and wonders that we will listen to, touch, taste, feel, watch, and enjoy. Reconnecting to the landscape through our senses is the best way to reconnect to the Earth and to ourselves. This act awakens deep gratitude of being alive. We can also take a dive in the ocean that begins where Strandgården’s garden ends.

Together, we will reflect on time in relation to your practice, life, and personal leadership – and an inner and outer sustainability and balance.

  • In the current time and our mutual now, do you spend your time as you wish? How can you cultivate inner peace and balance? What is important for you in this point in time?

  • Looking back at your ancestors, what stories have formed you? How can you honor them?

  • What kind of ancestor will you become? What stories will be told about you? How will your work continue after you’re gone?
